Recollective Awareness Samadhi Webinars
Taught by Jason Siff
Samadhi is usually taught with a focus on a particular object of meditation, such as the breath, a mantra, a visualization, or a physical sensation. It is then conceived as a narrowing of attention on a particular object, which is often difficult to achieve, mostly because that requires the pushing away or ignoring of so-called distractions. If that works for you, then you are a rare individual, and need not attend these webinars unless you are curious about another kind of samadhi, one that is spacious, tranquil, and inviting.
In these webinars, you will learn how to develop samadhi from an open meditation practice, which is much easier to achieve. In the first webinar, I will give you some guidance on how to become aware of your hindrances to samadhi. While in the second webinar, I will help you find your own natural objects of concentration, which will most likely differ from the usual prescribed objects (mentioned in the first paragraph), as well as assist you in discerning different kinds of tranquil states in your meditation sittings. In the third and final webinar, I will explain my theory of samadhi in an open meditation practice and give you suggestions on how to continue developing samadhi in your meditation practice and daily life.
This webinar series will run for three consecutive weekends and participants will have two time-slots to choose from. The registration fee for the Recollective Awareness Samadhi Webinars is $75 (for all three webinars). No one will be turned away for lack of funds (email me) and the full amount can be refunded upon cancellation, non-attendance, or dissatisfaction.
